About Acorn

Acorn Kitchens and baths, a design, build, remodeling company was established in 1976. From it's inception Acorn only built projects that were designed "in house." Now, over two decades later, Acorn still adheres to this same policy, only building its' own designs.

The design-build concept has been very successful for Acorn and it's clients. After humble beginnings, Acorn's design talents began to be recognized. In the early eighties Acorn began it's ascent as a leading design firm after securing the prestigious bathroom remodel for the Piedmont Designer Showcase. The following year Acorn was awarded the kitchen design for the Piedmont Designer showcase an honor of the highest degree in the Kitchen and Bath industry.

Since then Acorn has been involved in many showcase-remodeling projects. Acorn designs have won national awards with such prestigious organizations as the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) and the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Other designs have been featured in local and national magazines such as Woman's Day, Kitchen and Bath Design News, Sunset, and Diablo Magazine.

In 1997 an Acorn Kitchen was featured in the popular television program this old house. The television crew filmed the kitchen before and after the remodel, then aired the segment on national television.

Because Acorn designs have won many firsts in national competitions, interested people have contracted us from all over the county asking Acorn to provide design assistance on their projects.
